![]() ![]() ![]() This is a solemn day of remembrance, and a time to recognize the harm caused by residential schools, honour survivors and their families, and remember those who never returned home. Tomorrow, September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It has been inspiring to see the many ways our school communities have welcomed students and families back to school over the past few weeks, hosting open houses, parent/teacher nights, school assemblies, and special events. With cooler temperatures starting to set in, I am looking forward to the many new beginnings and fun learning opportunities the fall season holds for students, staff and families. School Messenger is our primary communication tool for families with students in our school. We are grateful for the strong parent and community involvement in our school and appreciate these partnerships. Our staff regularly engage in professional learning and share their time and energy supporting students' social, emotional and academic growth in varied ways. Our students are active participants in learning and in a variety of extra-curricular opportunities throughout the year. ![]() Our school is a vibrant and inclusive community of approximately 40 staff and 250 students, including 10 students in our specialized Learning Life Skills (LLS) class. Our school serves children and their families from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, with students moving onto Kenner Intermediate P.S. Roger Neilson Public School is located in Peterborough, Ontario which is a lovely community on the Trent Severn Waterway. ![]()
